b42 processes the cellulose in wheat straw to create a biodegradable bioplastic for injection moulding in eyewear.
Wheat stalks are a by-product of the harvesting of wheat grain.
The cellulose in wheat grain is reprocessed with a binding agent to make pellets for the injection moulding process.
Currently suitable for solid colour injection, with a matte granular finish. Can be a little brittler than regular eyewear.
Certified biodegradable to the following standards: EN13432 and ASTM D6400.
